Our sweet little girl turned one-year-old yesterday. She is a doll and we love her, Owen included. This week she is feeling a little crummy, but still manages a smile and a giggle every now and then. She has taken a few steps here and there but is faster when crawling. She crawls up the stairs, stands in chairs, and points. When Brett gets home she drops everything and crawls for him full speed. Her words are not totally understood, but she seems to have some very important things to say. Tomorrow she has her 12 month well child check up so we will fill you in on her stats then.
Clara started her day with blueberry pancakes served by Owen. She was up at 4:45 apparently excited about her special day (actually stuffy and coughing) so breakfast was at 5:30! She slept the morning away at daycare and we came home for lunch and a blue ladybug cookie. After playtime, some walking practice and stories, they both took great afternoon naps. They were both up by 4 and we went swimming! Brynn invited the kids to her friend birthday party at the pool so we joined for the afternoon. Clara was sound asleep by 7:15 and Owen by 8. I think she had a happy, happy day.

| Owen picked out this birthday cookie for him and Clara to share...they both had about 2 bites, were over it and had black lips-ick! Thank you Grandma Sue for making this cute cupcake bib it was perfect for the day. |
