Is March almost over?

I just realized that it is almost April!!  The kids have been healthy and we have been livin' up some regular old family time at home.  I continue to be thankful for my little sleepers...usually sleeping through the night (now that they are healthy) and consistently taking 2+ hour naps.  

When Brett was gone last week, Owen tucked his "buddies" into his bed and I found him asleep in the laundry basket snoring away.

Out cold and also a heavy breather. 

We are starting to enjoy a little more outside time.  Owen changes into basketball clothes as soon as we get home and wants to play in the basement "court".  As the weather cooperates we'll be hitting up the outside courts often.  

No thanks on the walking!  Clara is happy watching from the sidelines for now.

Whitefish, MT

After our fun weekend in Whitefish 2 weekends ago, I misplaced our card reader.  My posting got away from me but I have pictures to prove our activity over that time, so brace yourself for a posting frenzy!  

We celebrated Carole's birthday early with a little cupcake assortment and enjoyed the weekend away.

Carole brought a super fun math game...man I hope the kids get her math brain and not mine!

We left Whitefish and said goodbye to Brett for the week.  He flew out to attend a class in Seattle but the kiddos woke up to him at home on Thursday morning!

Auntie Lis and George at the Park

Lisa came to visit last week and we loved it!  The kids stayed with Lis while I worked and they spent a lot of time playing basketball downstairs and eating...Clara at least!  We hit up the park with Curious George, celebrated St. Patty's Day and watched the Gonzaga game before taking Lisa to the airport Friday morning.  

Owen woke up on St. Patrick's Day to find little Leprechaun footprints from his room to a prize hidden in his basketball hoop.

 We left on Friday to spend the weekend with Ron and Carole in Whitefish.  We had a little condo for a few nights with pool and hot tub access...a big bonus for Owen.  More pics of this weekend to come!!

Brett and I got to ski on Saturday and the kids enjoyed their day with Grandma and Grandpa.  Thank you!  Whitefish is beautiful, even on a snowy/rainy day!

Spring was here...just for a little second

2 wagon rides, a tricycle ride up the street, elk on the hill and march madness =spring! 

The kids are feeling better and we are all sleeping through the night, most nights.  Clara is starting to ditch the paci and is doing well (we got rid of Owen's at about 1 year so why not start with Little Miss right?).  Last weekend the sun was out and we enjoyed it by going to the St. Patty's day parade and playing outside. This week we are looking forward to a visit from Auntie Lis, Clara's 1 year pics and appointment, and then heading to Whitefish for the weekend

Sending Prayers to Japan

I can't even fathom what is going on in Japan.  Seeing pictures and hearing stories of disaster are awful and I cannot imagine having to deal with the terror they are going through.  We are SO thankful to hear that our friends the Frasers, who recently moved to Japan, are okay.  Read their blog, The Fraser Fam, for updates on their family and  the aftermath.  We were also happy to hear that Stephanie, Paul's fiance, was okay in Hawaii.  She was relocated from her hotel to a tent in the WalMart parking lot for the night.

Brett and I left our sick babes with Ron and Carole so that we could attend a wedding reception for one of Brett's hygienists.  We enjoyed an evening dancing and visiting with the team and were home at a reasonable hour-=I was very ready for bed after being up most of the previous night with little miss.  Who, by the way, is still a bit cranky...i'm thinking she's teething on top of being sick.  Hopefully teeth 3 and 4 pop out soon!  Anyway, it was a fun night with Brett and we were happy to come home to sleeping kids-thank you Ron and Carole!

Sunday evening Carole made a delicious spaghetti dinner (per my request).  She and Owen decorated these birthday cookies the night before...oh yeah, he told me about them but it was sweet to see him walk out with the big tray and tell me about them.

I think they are starting to feel a little better.  Except for 3am when Owen spiked a fever ...scary!  He's fine and we spent the day recouping at home.
