Today is the birthday of two very special people...my Dad and my sister Maria.  We love you both and are thinking of you today.  We're looking forward to celebrating with you soon!

Lunch Date

Yet another lunch-play date with the girls and kids!  We try to get together for lunch every few weeks and usually end up at Bagels on Broadway.  Last week Heather picked up bagels and brought them to the Hubbard's so the kids could have more play space.  What fun!  Thanks for hosting Jenna :)

Friday Night Surprise

The sun is starting to shine!  A weekend at home with some sun was loved by all.  Friday we tested out Brett's popcorn popper and watched and new Fireman Sam episode with Owen.  Clara was too crabby to stay up for the fun.  She sprouted two new molars-molars?  The babe only has four front teeth and now molars?  I think she is a little out of order but, regardless, she had a fever, was throwing up and then molars busted through and she was okay.  Silly girl.

Riverdance

If anyone gets a chance to go to Riverdance-do it!  It was in Missoula on Wednesday night so Char, Carole, Helen (Brett's Godmother) and I had a girl's night.  We met for dinner and drinks before walking across the bridge to the University for the show.  It was very entertaining and we had a wonderful time at dinner and the performance.  They happen to be in Portland next week and Seattle the week after-just sayin'!

This week after picking up the kids, I took them to hike up to the M on Mt. Sentinel above the University.  Like a total champ, Owen hiked the whole way up and down!

The weekend was beautiful but WINDY-perfect for kite flying and a picnic.

We hit up DQ after the park and walked down the street to visit Marisa, Norm and 2 week old Harper.

Star Student

This is our star student on our Mother's Day hike.  He's obviously dressing himself these days (well at least choosing his accessories).  I just love this little almost 3 year old!

I really think he does feel special this week.  When we asked him what the star student gets to do, he said, with his most serious face and wide eyes, "I pass out the crayons!" and "I walked so slow so all the kids could see my pictures."  At circle he got to share his baby pictures with all the kids.  He also gets to turn the light off and help Miss Stephanie pick up garbage.  He feels very important!

Happy birthday to our handsome Dad and husband!  Today and everyday we are thankful for you and appreciate all that you do for us.  You are the best...We love you!  

Cinco y Sies de Mayo

On the 5th we celebrated at Ben & Christy's festive party and on the 6th we hosted a "Sies de Mayo" themed shower for Gabe & Flora.  Both evenings kicked off a great start to the weekend!

Owen and Clara spent the shower night with Ron and Carole.  The kids were SO excited, and Brett and I slept in until 9!!  I don't remember the last time we did that and it was awesome.

A toast, and many many thanks to my awesome Mom.  You are the best.  Thank you for your continued love and support, dedication to your children and grandchildren, and for teaching me how to be a mom.  I love you!

Thank you to Carole, for being a wonderful, supportive and loving mother-in-law and Grandmother.  Not many people are as lucky as I am!

And last, but not at all least, Nona.  Mom, Grandmother and "Great-Nona"... thank you for being all of those things, being our biggest fan, and for believing that your children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren have no faults.

Spokane

Last weekend Clara and I braved the snow to do some wedding prep with Paul and Steph in Spokane.  Ok, we actually didn't help much with the wedding but got to visit with the happy couple and Grandma and Papa.  Clara wasn't much for chit chat on the way over...she slept exit to exit on the way over and 2.5 hours on the way home-it was perfect!
