2 Days of Sun

The sun FINALLY came out this weekend and we enjoyed a beautiful Saturday and Sunday.  A little yard work, a snack picnic and egg hunting with shorts on!  We loved every second of it and can't wait until it comes back.

It's starting to feel like spring!

Owen had an Earth Day/Easter Party at preschool and we made dirt cups to share with his class!

Dying easter eggs was a new adventure on Friday night and a fun one!

Carole brought the supplies to make Easter Nests and the two of them had fun making a mess...Owen put a clump on the tray and then licked his hands before diving in for another handful!

Superfun(d) Run

Last Saturday I took the kids and Brynn to do the Superfun(d) Run in Bonner (just outside of Msla).  We all ran the 1 mile fun run (Clara in the stroller) and Brynn and I did the 5K right after with both kids in the stroller.  Owen wasn't feeling 100% so he was not as in to running as he normally would have been, so the stroller was a nice break.  After the run, we hit up a craft store sale, went out to lunch and headed home for naps before Ron and Don's birthday party.

An extra special happy birthday to Ron & Don and Ryan who celebrated their special days on the 17th and the 19th.  We are very thankful that you are in our lives and loved being able to celebrate you!

Paper Platin' It

Here are some pictures of our water damage and the demolition that had to take place.  Thankfully home owner's insurance covers the damage and the rebuilding started today.

It's not very fun to see your kitchen being pulled apart!

So, we can use the stove/oven, the fridge and the micro...who really wants to do dishes without a kitchen sink and a dishwasher though?  We have done dishes in the tub and the hose, but we've been using paper plates and minimal kitchen tools most of the time.  If you have a "one dish dinner"/crock pot recipe send it my way!

Repairs started today and depending on how quickly supplies get in, should be done within 2 weeks-right guys?

Sleepover 2011

The day after getting back from a great Longview trip, we topped off spring break with a sleepover.  Usually around Christmas time we have Brynn, Ryan & Ty over for a fun festive slumber party by the tree, but did not squeeze it in last December.  So, it was a spring break sleepover!  

Most of the fun was had on the "basketball court" in the basement.

upon our return from Longview, we discovered water damage starting from the kitchen sink and seeping down the walls of the new bedroom in the basement :(.  I'll post more of the un-fun stuff later.

Longview...

I forgot to post pics of our time in Longview!  Most of all, we wanted to spend time with Nona and Papa and were able to do that.  We also got to squeeze in a few playdates and visits with family and friends...there are SO many people that we would like to see, but it seems that we never have enough time to do it all.  I'm sorry if we missed you, and thank you to those that worked us in to your schedules!
