13.1

Yesterday I did the Missoula Half Marathon that I've been training for.  I felt great, just tired after getting up at 4:05 for a 6am start time.  Brett and Owen were awesome supporters, showing up at various spots during the race.  Owen even had a "13.1 or bust GO MOM" muscle shirt on and loved running with people and clapping for them.  Ron & Carole were cheering me on throughout the race too, and Justin and Mya were at the finish line!  Thanks for the support everyone!

Yes, the shirt was puffy painted by Brett!

4th of July

On July 1st Brett and I decided to jump in the car the next day and head to Longview to watch Eric run his marathon.  We made it to Longview late Thursday night, and watched Eric and his sis Emily run the Sauvie Island Marathon on the 4th.  Maria, Brett and I chased them all around the course providing aid stations, and we had a great time cheering them on.  They did awesome too-Eric finished in less than 4 hours and Emily in less than 5!
After the race, we enjoyed some family time at Nona & Papa's to celebrate the 4th of July.

The Coast

Owen and I went to Grayland, WA for a Sari family beach vacation.  We had a great time with Nona & Papa, my parents, Maria, Paul, aunts, uncles and cousins.  The cousins are great with Owen (and so was their dog Belle), and I am always thankful for time spent with family.
Alek, Paul, Auni, Me, Owen, Maria & Liam (we missed the rest of you!)
Nona & Papa, the cutest couple in the world in front of the bait shop
One of my favorite parts of the trip...14 of us loaded in Papa's truck (with the dog and Papa at the wheel) headed to the beach to watch the sunset.  It was a perfect evening at the beach!

1 year old!

Owen's big day started with blueberry pancakes-Brett made him a 1 and he was not sure what to think of it at first, but ended up eating the whole thing! We BBQed with our families (my parent's came over for the weekend) and some friends came over for dessert-these are Owen's friends Syd and Mya.  (Owen is the one with no shirt on, a big belly and soaking wet shorts from playing in the ice bucket!)One cupcake down-one more to go!
Brett and I had way to much fun decorating this cake...he is quite the cake artist.  He made the bee, the ant, the beetle and a flower-who knew he had this talent!

10 days late...but worth the wait!

This is Owen with his friend Gracie.  Gracie is my friend Jenn's little girl and these two turn 1 this week!  Jenn and I were due on June 1st and 2nd, and the little ones were born on the 11th and 12th-both 10 days late.  It's so fun to see them interact!  Happy birthday you two!

Happy 30th!

Brett turned 30 on the 13th!  We celebrated with family on the 13th and again with friends on the weekend.  Brett's brother Ty flew in from AZ to surprise him and we were so excited to see him!
Brett's Brewfest-"Cheers to 30 years"!  The weather was nice enough that we were able to enjoy the evening outside for brew and yard games.  We had a Local, Pacific NW, and Import Brew section for the tasters and frosty beer mugs too!
Dallas and Charlie...some of Brett's tallest friends.

Uncle Ty
I found Owen a "My Dad is the Man" shirt...

and we ironed "Happy 30th Daddy" on the back!

Nora and Tyler's wedding

We flew into Portland Wednesday night for 3 days of wedding festivities-all extremely fun by the way.  Thursday night was rehearsal followed by an Iraqi Henna Party.  Friday, I met Nora and the bridesmaids for manis and pedis and then we boarded a bus to the rehearsal dinner at the Viewpiont Inn overlooking the gorge-awesome setting and even more amazing dinner celebration.  The main event was Saturday and Nora looked absolutely beautiful, and everything went off without a hitch (surprise, surprise).
I have to say, Owen looked pretty handsome for the reception!
Sneaking into the bridal suite!
The Head Table-WOW

Happy late Easter!

On Easter eve we had some friends over for dinner and also had a little egg hunt for Owen and Mya.  They were a great team-Mya found the eggs and Owen ate the cheerios that were inside!

After church we enjoyed a delicious brunch at the Feltons and an easter egg hunt with over 200 eggs!!  The Sayler's brought Owen this little car and he loves it.  Uncle Rob was even hiding eggs under the hood to get a head start on the hunt!!
