Owen Reading to Clara

These are from a few weeks ago, but still entertaining!
(No, that is not Owen's Halloween costume. They are some of his favorite jammies thanks to Uncle Dom who got them for him in China!)

Ahhhh...a weekend at home

Weekend travel has been enjoyable, but a weekend at home is soooooo nice! Friday we had dinner at the Zahn's and Saturday night we had dinner and watched the Griz game at Ron & Carole's. During the day we did some cleaning up and cleaning out that we've been ignoring for quite some time. It feels so good to get little things done...yet there is so much more to do!

Clara has all Owen's hand-me-downs on so the bow was necessary!

playing basketball/soccer
GO GRIZ! (They actually lost to Cal-Poly, but it was a close one)

1st food=Green Beans

Owen & I made green beans for Little Miss tonight...she thought they were okay, but she was happy to down her rice cereal after some bean bites!
Feeding his baby before dinner

I remember now that when babies start eating, baths are no longer optional after dinner.
clean kids+snuggley jammies= One of my favorite things

sweet baby girl,
please sleep better tonight

Wednesday Play Dates are Back!

Today we met the Ederer girls at the park for a picnic and some play time. Sarah is still on maternity leave with Sigourney so we are going to take advantage of that...along with the last bit of nice weather...and meet for weekly play dates like we did during the summer. Owen and Syd were happy to see each other and it's always nice for Sarah and I to catch up on life.

Labor Day Weekend

Our friends Ben & Christy were married is Spokane on Saturday so we headed over on Friday to catch up with the out of town guests. Brett took some of the guys to our old stompin' grounds-Jack and Dan's and Saturday we visited the park by the river and went to an awesome wedding. The kids stayed behind with Lib (Dom's sister who is going to grad school at GU) and had a great time-she was awesome with them, and I really enjoyed myself at the wedding knowing that they were in good hands. Thank you Lib!

Painting and Napping

The first week of school is almost done...and it's been great. I have an awesome schedule, the kids are doing fine at daycare (Clara is all smiles...Owen started off all tears) and we're getting into a good routine. I now know what time I need to leave the house with the kiddos to get them to Patti's, and get me to my first period class on time...and leave some spare minutes for unplanned events like a 2-year-old refusing to put pants on. I am only teaching 2 classes this year, so I will normally be picking up the kids by 11 and we'll be on our way home-I love it!
Here is Owen painting with his water colors from Addy...are paint smocks SO cute or what?
here is Clara's little face after Owen ran at her with the brush...she was CRACKING up
she really thinks Owen is hilarious, and he loves being an entertainer
Clara slept through the night one night last week, and I just realized that it may have been because she busted out of her swaddle and slept on her tummy...starting last night we put her down with her snuggly and dolly, and she does much better. I guess she is a stomach sleeper (and really she can sleep however she wants, as long as she is sleeping)!
Sorry for the X rated pic, but after taking a picture of "tummy sleeping Clara" at nap time I also peeked in to check on Owen and this is what I found. I just left him like that and he was dry (as was his pillow, blanket and carpet) after his 2 hour nap :)

Cabin Weekend Part II

Last weekend was a fun work weekend at the Felton cabin in Sula, MT. We joined Ron, Carole, Ty and Uncle Don to do some cabin updates and enjoyed the time working together. The kiddos did great entertaining themselves while we worked, and Owen even helped out with some things.

Here are a few before and after pictures...
the new add-on that was done in June
the beds...and the corner of the dining table (that was before!)
the beds moved into the added on room,
and their is now a new cozy sitting area

We hope to enjoy this space in the years to come:)
