Grant Creek Elk

Last Sunday we went on a hike behind our neighborhood to see this huge herd of elk that have been in the area.  It's pretty awesome to see this many large animals moving together, and it was a beautiful sunny day to get outside.  Owen also loved being in the pack on Brett's back!

Brynn and Ryan

Owen's cousins Brynn and Ryan came over to play last week.  Owen loved sitting at the bar having an after school snack with the big kids and wanted to tell stories just like them too (he kept interrupting with happy screams and babbling)!  We went to the park, and they played basketball on Owen's hoop.  What a fun day with Brynn and Ryan!

On Valentine's day, Owen stayed with Grandpa and Grandma Felton while Brett and I went snowshoeing and out to lunch.  We snowshoed at Lolo pass and ate at the Lochsa Lodge-delicious burgers and fries!  After picking up Owen we had our friend Heather over for dinner...Owen's first Valentine's date!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

Bangs?!

I know you have all been wondering what hairstyle I'm currently sporting (as if it's changed much since 7th grade...), so this is it!  I guess I have a new head of hair growing in!  These are my new bangs, and I also have something that resembles a 1 inch mohawk along my part.  One of my students asked me the other day if I tried to cut my own hair-nope, I'm just growing new bangs!  I will say, I did actually think I was going bald about 4 months after Owen was born because my hair was falling out in gobs, so after this growth I think i'll break even.

Fun in the kitchen!

Owen is having fun exploring the kitchen!  His friend Syd showed him how to stand up on the dishwasher, and the handle on the oven drawer is the perfect height for him to pull up and check on dinner!

High 5!

Little man is growing fast and learning so many new things.  He started to crawl a few weeks ago, he's pulling himself up to standing and he's tipping his cup like a champ.  When we visited Longview, Papa Pat also taught him to high 5, and he's getting it.  Giving Papa Bill a high 5 was the cutest!

Good Luck Auntie Lisa!

The Women's Professional Soccer League is starting again in the US and last Friday was the draft. My sis Lisa has been coaching at University of Portland (in addition to getting her masters, student teaching and coaching an FC team) and continuously training to play in the League.  We had a little photo shoot to send some good vibes Lisa's way... Lisa was drafted by the LA Sol!
