A Last Minute Visit

Someone in Montana bought a car from my Dad so...guess who had to come to Missoula to deliver it?  Perfect!  My mom and dad called early last week about the possibility of coming over and it ended up working out.  The kids enjoyed playing with them all weekend and even got to skip school Monday to spend the morning with Papa and "Sue Sue" before they flew out.
Thank you for the spontaneous visit-we loved seeing you!
(we also love that we have another visitor coming this weekend to complete 3 weekends of fun with family)

Snow Day

Paul and Steph flew in last night just in time to enjoy all the snow with us. School was cancelled for me today and I took tomorrow off, so it looks like a 4 day weekend with our visitors!

Scale

Owen just created this little scale on the couch and is weighing different coins (because he emptied his whole piggy bank to play "checkers" instead of taking a nap). He said, "mom look this one is heavier because it's going down.". I love preschool- this little boy absorbs so much!

Gymnastics

Usual Friday Schedule: I work in the morn and Brett manages the kids...takes O to Preschool and Clara gets Dad time.  I pick Owen up and we all meet up for lunch at home.  I know, we're lucky.

Last Friday Brett took Clara swimming and today when I called they had just finished a tea party and working on her colors :)  I'm just sayin', they have a pretty great Dad!  Owen and I met them at gymnastics today and the kids got their jumping in for the week...

Brett also pulled off some decent piggies!

Babysitters Club

Clara spends most of her time taking great care of her babies...feeding, giving bottles, changing diapers, walking and swaddling.  She even throws in a shoulder ride here and there!

Owen often joins her and takes care of his curious George...the other day they were walking their little ones together.

On another note...
We got a super fun box from the Frasers in Japan!  If only there were an itemized list of translations!  The kids are loving exploring the goods and have already practiced their Japanese letters.

Museum, Play Doh and Veggies

The kids and I had a great afternoon playing at the Children's Museum and then going out for lunch.



The Dino Dig





They were entertained with Play Doh while I made dinner. The veggie piece went like this...
"mom can I have some peppers?"
"sorry buddy, we don't have any"
"can we have some green beans?"
"we ate them all last night...how about some tomatoes?"


There is no secret that their Great Papa is tomato-lovin' Papa Bill...they each polished off a whole tomato while waiting for dinner!
