Ring Bearer Practice

After all the wedding festivities last weekend, I decided to start prepping Owen for his role in the big event.  According to him he is the "ring bear and the ring cow", but at least he knows that he is wearing a suit and not an animal costume!  We watched a few you tube videos of ring bearers in action, and dressed up to practice carrying a pillow and walking slowly to Dad.  I think he'll do great Dom & Lis!  He was ready to go to the wedding as soon as he got his suit on...he's not the only one who is getting excited!

Thank you Leslie Dahl!

An extra special thanks to my mom's friend Leslie who MADE these awesome and adorable hats for the kiddos.    We love them!  Owen wears his all the time and Clara's will be everyday attire very soon.  Seriously...how cute and detailed and awesome are those hats?  Thank you Leslie-you are very talented and thoughtful.

8 months

I just turned around and my little girl is 8 months old.  She is crawling with determination, pulling herself up to standing (she is currently doing it on my legs), signing "more" and making happy and entertaining sounds.  Today when I went to get her from her crib after her nap she was standing up, holding onto the railing waiting for me!  She has the sweetest smiles, loves her brother and is quite a trooper.
We just love her!

Halloween

Clara and I we greeted at the airport by Brett and Fireman Sam (with his pumpkin full of candy)

We met up with Mya to hit up a few houses before bed

The Dads with their ladybugs

ALL the kids were excited about checking out the candy at the Hubbard's after Trick-or-Treating
Brady & Clara both snuck a Kit-Kat

2 ladybugs, Fireman Sam & a chicken
they sat frozen like this for minutes...much longer than we expected

Lisa Weekend

Clara and I flew out Friday for some "girls only" wedding festivities.  We flew into Seattle where Maria and Eric picked us up to take us to Longview.  Friday night we enjoyed a visit from the Teresa and the kids and dinner with Nona and Papa.  The bride arrived with time for some wedding talk before bed and Saturday we were off and running...two showers and a bachelorette party!  Being a busy bride, the best route was to pack all the fun in to her one available weekend and it worked.  Clara and I had fun celebrating you Lis!
We finally got to meet baby Griffin John Elhardt...what a little darling!
visiting with Great Nona

The Sari girl cousins (minus Auni) with our Nona

Clara & Maggie Dee (I week apart...so, both 8 mo)

Melissa & I with the babes

Clara got a quick snuggle from Uncle Paul in Portland before heading to the evening shower

Clara got to spend the night and morning with Papa & Gma while I  hit the town with the girls in Portland-thank you!  I think they had good time with her-Papa Pat can sure make her laugh!
